Jessica - The Vixen Shoot

Another shoot in Georgetown with my lovely friend Jessica who shops well, puts outfits together amazingly, and does her own killer make-up.  She's also a pretty dang good model!

I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up with Jessica for a few hours after not having seen each other for quite a while - at least a few years!  We did cupcakes, we did lunch...and boy, did we do photos!

Alyssa's Headshots

Alyssa, being the great sport she is (read: she loves having her picture taken!), decided to donate some moola to my 3-Day for the Cure fundraiser in exchange for a mini-session.  She told me I could do what I wanted with the photos, so I jumped at the chance to take some headshots of her.  Headshots are my absolute favorite, especially the dramatic make-up or anything-but-smiling ones.  Check out a few of my favorites, and then hit my Facebook for the rest of the session!

Shayla - Natural and Va-va-voom!

I had the opportunity to do a shoot with Shayla last Sunday.  Unfortunately for us, the weather hasn't been cooperating every time we schedule a shoot.  The first time, we had to cancel due to weather, and the second time, we moved our shoot indoors - I was tired of letting the weather dictate when I was going to do my shoot!  My idea for Shayla's shoot was to take some pictures of her with very natural, minimal make-up...and then let her go crazy with the make-up and do some fun stuff.  Shayla did an amazing job with her make-up, and an even better job with this shoot - it turned out exactly how I envisioned it!  We'll be doing some outdoor photos soon - keep an eye out for those!  In the meantime, check out the photos from Shayla's shoot!  As always, the rest can be found at my Facebook page.

Chels - A Little Bit of Pin-up

This is Chels, my nearly sister-in-law.  She practically is - all that's really missing is some bling and a ceremony.  This girl puts up with my brother, Matt, and that makes her automatically family.  She's also endured my daughter stealing her Uncle Mamoo away, planting herself right between the two of them, because she's marrying her Uncle Mamoo.  Let's not forget that Chels has also endured my daughter putting her little fingers right into Chels' ear.

I've been really excited about doing this session with Chels - just look at her - she's gorgeous, and her smile is pretty much fabulous.   You can find the rest of Chels' session on my Facebook page.

Tara - Trash the Dress

What a fun shoot!

Your mama always told you to be careful when you're wearing that white shirt (or dress), didn't she?  She'd be pretty ticked off if you messed it up, wouldn't she?  What about that bride who was SO paranoid that her beautiful, pure, white dress would be ruined for her big day? 

What about those people who throw complete caution into the wind and just go with it?

Tara's one of those people!  This girl was FABULOUS to shoot, let me tell you!  It was 50-something degrees outside, and the water was probably 38 or 39 degrees.  Most people, myself included, would think, "Are you crazy?  I'm not going in that water."  Tara didn't care.  She jumped in.  Totally committed!

The idea of Trash the Dress isn't for everyone - most women think that their dress is incredibly sentimental and they want to save it for their future daughters...the majority of which will not be caught dead in their mom's old school wedding dress, by the way...  Why not have fun after your big day?  Mess it up, make some memories - that's what Trash the Dress is about.  Now, this shoot with Tara wasn't with a wedding dress, but it certainly played off of the same concept - have fun, get messy, and make sure you have pictures to prove it.

Jessica - Downtown Augusta shoot

I've had this shoot in my head for what seems like ages - how cool would it be to find someone with awesome tattoos and an awesome setting and take photos?  The way I envisioned it, I needed a brick wall...not just any brick wall, but an old brick wall, and someone with tattoos...  My goal was something edgy.  Pretty, but edgy.

I feel like I accomplished this with my wonderful friend, Jessica.  Here she is:

I had fun with this shoot because Jessica is one of the most laid back people I know.  I used to work with her, and now she's just a short walk away...an eternal optimist with a mean streak of DIY, she was SO EASY to shoot.  Plus, she may or may not have had someone on her mind - oh la la!  :)

In the area we were in, we had some run-down buildings, a nice fountain, a brick staircase, plenty of greenery, and some old railroad tracks.  The perfect place for a variety of photos!  Check out the results from this shoot!

You would never believe this picture came from January...in GEORGIA...only a few days ago, we had ice!!

  

Right about this time, a bicycle cop rode by.  I think he waved and shouted something, but I stopped shooting.  He yelled back that he was trying to make the shot.  I promptly replied back to him, "FAIL!"  He never made it into any shots.
